Why do you think you were banned: I was banned because I admitted to using discord to "guess" a TFA prospects name
Why should we unban you: I have obviously done wrong, I tried to be funny and ultimately paid the price.
To be honest I do not know why I done it, I guess it was because it was late at night and just wanted a bit of a laugh
as I knew some TFA members, so I sort of had an idea that they would not care or would interupt their immersion to a degree however that is by no means an excuse to break a rule.
This is my first actual ban for metagaming (I say actual as theres been two incidents on record, one which I proved to be innocent and second was private where I could not defend myself I believe, correct me if im wrong) and even though its obvious I did not have any malicious intent by what I "metagamed"
I still broke the rule, plain and simple.
I am no stranger to the server and to recieve a ban you would often expect from a "Baldy" is dissapointing to say the least. I try to hold myself to a higher standard when I do try but I
for some reason decided to mess around and got carried away that night, but again I do not do it to cause issues or anything I just have a weird sense of humour
where I have this tendency where I just start cracking jokes and then not looking at the bigger picture.
I also did break character that same night by referencing Ju Longs ban, I sort of caughed after saying he got banned knowing I should not have mentioned it at all I only did it because it was myself and Father although there were a few people nearby but its not clear whether they heard or not but thats irrelevant nonetheless.
The important part is that I should not have broken character and I have.
I havent recieved a server ban in a while, like I said when I do try I'm often good but when its late night I just start messing around, today I paid the price for it.
I am ashamed of my actions, not gonna sit here and say that I'm not.
I understand the severity of the rule, did I do it to gain an advantage with a malicious intent? No, I just tried to be funny by reading names but regardless of the intent behind it I obviously should not have done it.
I guess I've sort of lost my touch with making jokes, I thought I knew where the line was but it appears I'm offside.
Regarding the rules broken, I'm not going to pretend or act clueless, I knew what I did and if given another chance I will not only be grateful but I will take things more serious and stop this habit of thinking its fine to break rules after a certain time.

Like previously mentioned I did it to be funny and not to actually metagame things that can cause major issues within the city, granted theres a chance where perhaps the prospect could or wanted to keep his name private and I just exposed it and if that is the case I would like to apologise.
On the topic of apologising, I'd like to apologise to the staff members I have dissapointed.
I know how to roleplay and what to do and what not to do, anyone whos roleplayed with me can vouch (I hope) but I've let myself down today.
Thanks to Mark and Stuart for having a conversation with me nonetheless before issuing the ban so we could gather an understanding and helping out with potential questions etc.

You were banned 2 hours before you posted this appeal, 2 hours does not seem like a long time to think back on your actions, does it?

Let's look at what happened? You had been pulled a side to discuss two rule breaks, now I can understand a slip up of some description but this was a little more then a slip up at silly o'clock. During the chat with staff you tried to say that you had messaged the person on tweedle, ect, you were very adamant that you did not use any discord information. After roughly 10 minutes of going back and forth you admitted that you used discord information and said that you didn't think it counted as meta gaming. Now if you really thought that why did you lie about it? For someone who has been here since 2021 you of all people would know honesty is the best policy when talking to staff.

Since you decided to lie to the staff there, oddly enough that isn't mentioned here in this appeal and you that were only banned 2 hours ago I will be declining this. Take some time, a couple of day even to think about these "Baldy" mistakes and appeal again with the full truth.
