“So very disappointed. Was there with a disabled person and treated terribly by customers and wait staff. Food was not good and service was terrible. Have been there previously and had a much better experience. I am not sure what changed but definitely will not go back or recommend this place if the same rude waitress is there. So very disappointed.”

“We had a great time at Trattoria Amalfi. The food was delicious, staff was attentive, and atmosphere at the restaurant - very pleasant. Our waiter recommended creamy Alfredo Pappardelle pasta with grilled shrimp, and it was excellent. My friend ordered Chicken Piccata, and it was great too. Their blueberry gelato with cappuccino was a nice culmination of an exquisite meal.”

“A great option in Mystic.We went for an early dinner and were able to accommodate us with a baby. We ordered the fried monkfish, halibut, carrots, cornbread, and oysters rockefeller. The entrees were decent but both felt like they were missing something. We liked the appetizers much more - with the best dish being the carrots!”

“We were there this week and witnessed the most pure, genuine interaction between the women at the front desk and a child coming to pick up dinner with their mother. The staff member played and shared the little boys passion for his "yoshi" toy and it was great to watch. Even in between the hustle and bustle of a dinner shift, the time was taken to stop and make a human connection.”

“We had such a wonderful experience. We had a couple of different meats and all were delicious. The BBQ sauce was amazing. Our waitress was so personable even asked if we wanted a tour of their smokehouse . Chef was amazing and the tour was wonderful we Will definitely be back!!!”

“We celebrated our 10 year anniversary last night at Andiamo. We were seated at a beautiful and cozy red leather booth. We had an extremely attentive server who checked on us often and made sure everything was just to our liking. The food was outstanding and so was the ambiance. Andiamo will now be my new favorite restaurant. We had an amazing experience and can't wait to go back again soon!”

“My family loves this place! Everything is made fresh on the spot and everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Our two year old asks to go here for a smoothie anytime we drive by and our college student raves about their açaí bowls. I just finished up their three day juice cleanse for a much needed reboot and I feel fantastic. Highly recommend this spot! Friendly local owners too.”

“I ordered my wedding cake from Li's Bakeshop in December of 2023. It was for 60 people and was a two tier chocolate cake with oreo filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. I was able to show the baker a picture of the design I was thinking about in the frosting and asked for a little bit of gold on it as well. The result was even better than me or my husband could've imagined! It was the absolute perfect, sweet ending to our amazing day!! All of our guests couldn't stop telling us it was the best cake they've ever had. We were able to save two slices and they're in the freezer awaiting our first anniversary. We've been long time customers and wouldn't have trusted anyone else to make our cake for us.”

“Im not surprised most of the other reviews are 5 Star. Let me explain something for the public:I have been an Oyster Fisherman for about 12 to 13 years. Most of that was been working for or contracting with Norm Bloom & Son. I’m pretty sure these guys are a subsidiary or contracted with them. The process from beginning to end of growing these oysters is outstanding and no one does it like we do. We lay down shell we’ve caught over the winter from ground we have mostly emptied(we use a suction boat retrieve the shell stock thats left) every July.There’s one week roughly in July the spawn are released from the Oysters and they sit in the water column. When we wash off the shell into the water, on its way down the spawn attach to the shell. That area is left to grow and we come back and dredge them up when they’re thumbnail sized. Those get shifted out from shore further and then quite some time after that they are moved to Norwalk and two weeks after that they are harvested, processed and bagged and pushed to restaurants like these(owned by us or normal restaurants).This process has an amazing heritage going back to the 1800’s and also, NO other shellfish is as tasty, well textured and nutritious as a shellfish from icy cold winter waters like we have here in CT. Our clams, oysters and even mussels(though they are mostly grown elsewhere as they’re problematic to grow here in the sound) I can say with certainty and authority are the BEST shellfish product you can possibly obtain in this country. Im assuming they can only be rivaled somewhat by our brothers in shell fishing over in Washington and Oregon and then maybe Europe, Scandinavia and Russia with their beautiful Shellfish resource.So ladies in gentlemen, in short and the reason I have made this review is so you all understand how blessed WE all are to have access to such a beautiful, RICH heritage and have the ability to TASTE that heritage, reap its benefits and understand why this product is superior.We are surely lucky, as many in the world will never have access to nor taste what amazing shellfish we have and if they do, it is subpar, warm water shellfish. Those waters are only good for spiny lobster, snapper and a few other fish species as far as taste and quality but the far northern and deep deep southern arctic and antarctic zoned sea food resources are a superior source to all other sources of seafood product I can assure you.Be thankful for the men (AND women more often these days!) who go out in the cold and in the heat, suffering long hours and a lot of sacrifice to their personal time and families to make sure that the companies and restaurants are well stocked with the highest quality product. Its a hard life and we do it because we love the water. Shellfish is Connecticuts greatest natural resource! Be proud of your home!Thanks for reading all!”

“Adam young has hit this one out of the park. We went to Mix with 2 other couples who are foodies like I am! We are always in search of the next great restaurant in the area. I have been hearing great things about Mix and then I heard that Britney Lewitz had taken the job as manager. I have known Britney forever and I knew that she was the right person to take care of us. . She made all the arrangements for a reservations. From beginning to end it was nothing but stellar. The executive chef prepared the most amazing apps, salads and entrees for us. The service was incredible as well.
As a former chef/owner of a local catering company I also competed on CHOPPED and won! I appreciate everything incredible in this food industry. We got it here at Mix and I highly recommend the experience !”

“Awesome experience! Bar atmosphere however kid friendly. The bartender. Adam was a whirlwind of taking care of bar customers and grabbing us at tables. Appears to be a bit of a local joint at the bar, everyone was on first name basis.The food: I had pizza with sausage, onion, peppers. It help up! I'm a Chicago girl, I like the crispy thin. The house dough is made in house, bread is thin yet has slight chew....an addictive chew! I gobbled 4 slices which is more than normal. Very flavorful. Sausage has fennel, which you only see up north. Overall atmosphere is incredible. Everyone is happy, nice, friendly. It's a Monday at 1720 and the place is packed! I'm here on business, but dang if I lived here, well I'd be as big as a house. Thus would be my go to. Chicago. New York. Michigan folks know what I'm saying...you fund a good local and you're loyal. That is what I'm experiencing here”

I go here when I'm in a hurry, and the staff are quite helpful and friendly. “Our first time visit to the area and Mystic Diner was recommended. We enjoyed their breakfast several mornings. Clean, friendly, attentive staff, many selections, breakfast all day, reasonable prices. Lots of desserts but didn't try any. They have a take out window. If it looks like they're packed and long wait, go in anyway, the place is huge. It happened to us and there were plenty of tables/booths available.”
